The Anamalz are finally here! We ordered these adorable Anamalz many months ago (a new product for 2007), but due to a long backorder they finally just arrived this summer. Our girls (ages 2 and 4) are completely in love with these, and they each bring one everywhere we go. The Anamalz are all labeled for ages over 3, due to some small parts being a possible choking hazard (I assume in case they come apart somehow, though they seem very sturdy and we haven't had that happen). The wood is organic maple, and the arms/legs that look like rope are are bendable and poseable. Such an adorable design! The cow even has utters! (Julie carries it everywhere and says "moooo, moooo") Please note the Anamalz are assembled in China (but made w/ European materials). The paint is from Germany, for example, and the wood is organic maple. For every purchase of Anamalz, the company also donates a portion to wildlife conservation groups.
