This is my favorite pillow. The shredded rubber pillow can be shaped to fit your neck. Natural rubber inhibits dust mites, bacteria, and mold naturally. Create support just where you prefer. Cradle your neck the way nature intended. When soiled just throw in washer and dryer. The ideal solution for allergy sufferers....by Pure Rest Organic. Sorry we're not currently selling pillows (due to poor customer service and shipping issues with the manufacturer, even though these are our favorite pillows!) If you order a natural rubber mattress from our store though (the mattresses are from a different company), we typically offer 1 or 2 free pillows along with the order (1 for twin or full size, 2 for queen or king size). It causes us less stress to do it that way (when the pillows are paid for and take forever to arrive, it sometimes causes upset customers which makes us feel bad when the situation is beyond our control with this manufacturer, who is very unresponsive even though they have the best pillows!). |

| Coyuchi Organic Cotton Sheets
If all the cotton in the world were grown organically, the use of insecticides could be reduced 25 percent. In working toward that end, Coyuchi has been recognized for its role in bolstering the production of organic cotton. A video is currently being produced to show how life has changed for the farmers in India, due to an increase in organic production. They save money once spent on pesticides, and also make more money because of the organic customer's willingness to pay more for pesticide-free products and better working conditions for farmers. Organic cotton seeds must be non-genetically engineered; insects are controlled by methods that simulate what occurs in the natural environment, where "good" bugs eat "bad" bugs. There is also an emphasis on keeping plants healthy- healthy plants are more resistant to infestation-fields are usually weeded by hand. Organic farms are not allowed to use any chemical fertilizers or chemical inputs, such as herbicides or other pesticides. All Coyuchi organic cotton is grown in India by family farmers organized in cooperatives. Coyuchi willingly pays premium prices to these small-scale growers for their organic cotton fiber because this encourages organic practices that protect not only the environment, but the farmers, their families, and their communities from exposure to toxic agricultural chemicals. Also, by purchasing their cotton at a better price per kilo, Coyuchi helps support local and economically sustainable production. ![]() |

| Fair Trade has Never Been More Important!
The business generated by Fair Trade Organizations in Europe and the U.S. now accounts for just .01 % of all global trade. Small as it may be, the rapidly growing fair trade movement is setting standards that could redefine world trade to include more social and environmental considerations. Fair traders believe that their system of trade, based on respect for workers' rights and the environment, if adopted by the big players in the global economy, can play a big part in reversing the growing inequities and environmental degradation that have accompanied the growth in world trade. Fair Trade brings the benefits of trade into the hands of communities that need it most. It sets new social and environmental standards for international companies and demonstrates that trade can indeed be a vehicle for sustainable development. Today, a growing movement of workers, environmentalists, consumers, farmers and social movements worldwide is calling for a different framework for trade. They want a global trading system that promotes workers' rights, protects the environment and sustains the ability of local producers to meet community needs. Together, as consumers, they can make a huge difference by demanding significant changes in the ways goods are produced, and vote with their dollars for a more just and environmentally sound trading system. (by John Cavanagh, co-director of the Institute for Policy Studies.) Why Organic Cotton? "Conventionally grown cotton uses more insecticides
than any other single crop. Each year cotton producers around the world
use nearly $2.6 billion worth of pesticides -- more than 10% of the world's
pesticides and nearly 25% of the world's insecticides. Cotton growers
typically use many of the most hazardous pesticides on the market including
aldicarb, phorate, methamidophos and endosulfan." - Pesticide

Why Organic Wool? The difference between organic sheep
and conventional sheep is that certified organic sheep do not receive chemical
treatments such as drenching or dipping for parasites, fly dressings, antibiotics,
growth promotants, vaccines, nor do they graze on pastures that have been
sprayed with herbicides. Organic sheep are bred for resistance to parasites
and are fed outdoors all year round on special herbal ley pastures to build
healthy immune systems. Organic sheep must graze only on certified organic
farms and be fed certified organic stockfood. Genetically engineered or
modified feed is prohibited.
Organic wool has not been treated chemically throughout the entire production, from the farm to the end garment. Organic production is based on positive holistic management systems,
which reduce or eliminate the need for most agricultural chemicals and
promote healthy soils, air, waterways and responsible animal husbandry
practices. Customers look for organic products because they believe them
