Plan Toys are made with preservative-free and eco-friendly rubberwood.  The safety of children is of utmost concern, so Plan Toys has created a production process which doesn't use artificial chemicals.  The toys have received safety certification in both Europe and the U.S.  The toys also have the EO standard certification (E-Zero) which illustrates the highest safety standard to exposure to formaldehyde in wooden products or toys. If you have purchased wood toys from many other companies, you will really notice a difference with Plan Toys and the lack of chemical smells.  Even the paints are more like a light water-based stain (with the wood grain still visible underneath - which looks really natural) instead of the heavy smell of thicker oil-based paints common with many other wood toys.  We really love these toys for our own girls and we never hesitate to recommend them to customers at our store.  Plan Toys also pays fair wages to their workers in Thailand, and the workers enjoy safe and healthy working conditions.  The company is also committed to the enviroment because they use rubberwood which is from trees that would have been cut down anyway (after their useful life-span for rubber production), and the packaging is recyclable cardboard (instead of using heavy plastics).  The packaging box is very attractively printed also, which makes the toys great for gifts too.
