Simply Affordable Organic Crib Mattress
A 28 X 52 X 6 inch (please note this mattress does vary in size, it is hand crafted.) organic crib mattress. Built on a tempered steel frame (no oils, no chemicals) that is 150 coil count 12.5 gauge wire coils, and a 8 gauge side border wire. You want a firm mattress, this is it!  We tried several brands of organic mattresses for our girls, and this is our favorite mattress.  This crib mattress feels firmer than the more expensive mattresses with higher coil counts.  We own several brands and have been using them for over 2 years, and I would still choose this mattress over any other, even if the price was the same.
With layers of organic cotton batting (grown in the USA), and wool, and then topped off with organic cotton fabric that is grown and milled in the USA, this is a beautiful mattress. 
The mattress meets the CPSC fire codes without any chemicals, because wool is a natural flame retardant. 
This is designed to meet your beliefs and your budget. Only a 3 year warranty attached to this crib mattress, but it will last longer than that if taken care of.  I have been using one of these organic crib mattresses for over 2 years for our daughter, and it still looks and feels as good as new.  I highly recommend it and would definitely choose it again if I needed a new organic crib mattress.

We used this mattress pad on top of the wool puddle pad (with a stretchy knit-jersey fitted sheet on top).  With this combination, we could simply wash the mattress pad when there were small spills, without needing to wash the wool puddle pad.  We discovered it's not easy to wash/dry wool puddle pads on a regular basis (due to the need to air dry).  With the addition of the mattress pad on top of the wool, the problem is easily solved since the mattress pad takes care of 99% of all leaks anyway (unless it's a major accident with a diaper-less baby).  Natural color. Tiny Birds Organic Merino Wool Mattress Pad
Super-thick and super-soft, this is a piece of organic merino wool pile fabric (made in the U.S.A w/ organic cotton backing).  This beautiful thick fabric (approx 1" thick) is not machine washable because we want to provide the purest surface for baby to lay on (pre-shrinking would mat down these long wool fibers, and other brands use super-wash wool which is coated with nylon and also uses large amounts of chlorine in processing), so if you want to avoid soiling the pad we recommend using the Little Beetle changing pad on top of this one (or a small towel or something under baby's bottom when changing).
Changing table is size 16"X27. Bassinette/Cradle size is 18"X36". Standard Crib mattress pad is size 26"X52".
