LlamaJama Fair Trade Soakers LlamaJama yarn is a mixture of alpaca and sheep's wool. Although
not organic, these products are fair trade, which is also something we
believe strongly in. Alpaca is a buttery soft, incredibly strong,
virtually pill proof fiber. The yarn is completely natural, no synthetic
dyes or chemical baths are used in the processing of Llamajama products.
The natural cider color is gender neutral and will coordinate with any
outfit.

Support Fair Trade (information from LlamaJama) Fair Trade is a grassroots movement to reduce poverty in developing
countries by encouraging fair global trade practices. Llamajama products
are made by women whose livelihoods have been threatened by unfair competition
from richer countries. Llamajama has made a pledge to pay a fair wage,
engage in environmentally sustainable practices, build long-term relationships,
and insist on healthy and safe working conditions. By supporting Fair Trade
companies you are using your voice as a consumer to make a better world!
Do More First recognize that you can choose how you spend your money. Then,
consider challenging yourself to shift just five percent of what you spend
on food, clothing, and home furnishings to fairly traded items. This will
make a big difference in the lives of artisans, and small farmers at home
and abroad.
