Organic Diapering Accessories
12-pack organic cotton wash cloths
100% organic cotton. 12-pack flannel wipes by Imse Vimse, with
edge serging various colors.
Imse Vimse Wool Shampoo
You can use the wool shampoo for gentle cleansing of all your wool
items.
Contents: Surfactants of plant-based cocoa and palm oil, lanolin, water.
No preservatives, no perfume.
Imse Vimse Wool Cure
You can use the wool cure to lanolize all your wool items (it is only
necessary to lanolize once a month or so usually, though we never even
use lanolin for our own wool and don't have a problem with leaks).
Adding more lanolin causes the wool to repel rather than absorb moisture,
so the choice of using lanolin or not depends on how you want the cover
to absorb (or not). We prefer that our wool covers absorb more of
the moisture (taking some load off the diaper), but some of our friends
prefer to add lanolin every time they wash their wool. After using
wool covers awhile, you'll find what's best for your family over time.
Contents: Surfactants of plant-based cocoa and palm oil, lanolin, water.
No preservatives, no perfume.
Little Beetle Organic Wool Wet Bag for Diapers
Drawstring closure with no plastic parts, holds 5 or so diapers
depending on the type of diapers you use. Approximately 11" x 16".
Simply hang to dry, or machine wash/dry if needed.
Customer comments: "I love the wool bag, it's really been bothering
me to use those awful plastic coated ugly things! Now I feel better. What
a great idea."
Bummis Pail Liner (comes in purple only)
It is convenient to have 2 of this size for a diaper pail liner
(we use a trash can with flip-up lid for a diaper pail). This x-large
size tote fits just about any trash can you might want to use as a diaper
pail. Simply throw wet diapers inside and then when the bag is full
you can carry the whole thing to the washing machine and dump everything
right in (including this pail liner). I think it is supposed to be
air dried but we have always put it in the dryer with the diapers and haven't
had any problems after 2 years of constant use.
Mini-Shower
I've always put this on the list of "must-have" cloth diapering
items, whenever someone asks me what they need to get started with cloth.
For my first week of cloth diapering I was wondering if I could stick with
it, because I put my hands in the toilet to rinse off the sticky mess (it
was very sticky). Then when I got the mini-shower I couldn't imagine
going back to life without it. If your baby doesn't make that type
of sticky mess I'm talking about, you can probably just plop things into
the toilet by shaking the diaper a little, but that would never work for
us and I really really love my mini-shower! You can also
read
more about the mini-shower and it's many other uses.
Flushable Diaper Liners
100 sheets per package. These are labeled toddler size, but we
think this size is best even for newborns because overlapping the edges
of the diaper is the best way to contain runny messes.
Little Beetle Organic Merino Wool Changing Pad
Machine washable! Approx 19"x30". This is similar to
a puddle pad for a co-sleeper
size mattress, but thinner and softer. Fits easily in a diaper
bag (shown folded in photo). This pad can also be used as a small
swaddling blanket.
Tiny Birds Organic Merino Wool Changing Pad
Super-thick and super-soft, this is a piece of organic merino wool
pile fabric (made in the U.S.A w/ organic cotton backing). This beautiful
thick fabric (approx 1" thick) is not machine washable because we want
to provide the purest surface for baby to lay on (pre-shrinking would mat
down these long wool fibers, and other brands use super-wash wool which
is coated with nylon and also uses large amounts of chlorine in processing),
so if you want to avoid soiling the pad we recommend using the Little Beetle
changing pad on top of this one (or a small towel or something under baby's
bottom when changing).
Changing table is size 16"X27. Bassinette/Cradle
size is 18"X36". Standard Crib mattress pad is size 26"X52".
